Senator Kathy Marchione to honor service and sacrifice of America’s heroes

 

Today, Saturday, October 1, at 6 a.m.: Senator Kathy Marchione, Talk 1300 Radio Host Melody Burns, 102 Capital Region veterans of World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and post-Vietnam War era, Gold Star Moms and families take part in Patriot Flight to honor service and sacrifice of America’s heroes

Today in Albany, NY – Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I,Reform-Halfmoon), Chair of the Senate’s Local Government Committee, Talk 1300 Radio Host and Patriot Flight Logistics Director Melody Burns, and 102 Capital Region veterans of World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War and post-Vietnam War era, Gold Star Moms and families will take part in the Patriot Flight departing Albany International Airport at 6 a.m.  today, Saturday, October 1.

Senator Marchione will serve as a guardian for a Korean War Veteran during today’s Patriot Flight.

Patriot Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. Patriot Flight transports America’s true heroes to Washington, D.C.,to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

Where: Albany International Airport, located at the junction of Interstate Highways 90 and 87

Why: America owes everything to its courageous veterans who have defended freedom. Today’s Patriot Flight recognizes America’s true heroes by taking them to visit the national memorials in Washington, D.C. that honor their service and sacrifice
