Rensselaer County Republican Committee Chairman John Rustin says Senator Marchione is a “trusted and true champion for Rensselaer County taxpayers” and has “continually delivered for our community”
Poestenkill, NY – New York State Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon) was endorsed for re-election by the Rensselaer County Republican Committee during its endorsement meeting held today.
“Senator Kathy Marchione is a trusted and true champion for Rensselaer County taxpayers and has continually delivered for our community. Senator Marchione has achieved many successes including extending the property tax cap and delivering property tax rebates, restoring fiscal responsibility, opposing unfunded mandates and getting Rensselaer County its fair share. Most important, Senator Marchione has kept her promises and always been highly responsive to our County’s needs. Our Committee enthusiastically endorsed her and will again work hard for her re-election this fall so she can continue making a positive difference,” said John Rustin, Rensselaer County Republican Committee Chairman.
“I thank the Rensselaer County Republican Committee for its endorsement and also for the trust and confidence they continue to place in me. I am deeply honored to again stand for re-election with today’s strong endorsement and vote of confidence from Rensselaer County Republican Committee members,” Senator Marchione said.
“My focus is building stronger families, stronger communities and providing a better quality of life for all New Yorkers. I look forward to working with Rensselaer County Republican Committee members to achieve these goals and make our community, and state, a better, more affordable place for everyone,” Senator Marchione stated.
Elected in 2012 and overwhelmingly re-elected in 2014, Senator Marchione represents the 43rd Senate District, which includes portions of Rensselaer, Saratoga and Washington Counties and all of Columbia County.
In addition to today’s endorsement, Senator Marchione also has been endorsed for re-election by the Washington County Republican Committee.
