Halfmoon, NY – New York State Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon) today proudly announced that she has been endorsed for re-election this fall by New York State United Teachers (NYSUT).

“Receiving NYSUT’s endorsement – the endorsement of our hard-working, professional teachers who educate, lead and inspire both inside and outside the classroom – is an honor and something that I deeply appreciate,” Senator Marchione said.

“I am proud of the real results we have achieved in the critical area of education, including securing record funding for even better schools, making good on the promise of ending the Gap Elimination Adjustment budget cuts, and recognizing our teachers for the dedicated, hard-working, caring professionals they truly are. New York State is home to so many terrific teachers who do much more than just teach – they light a spark of inspiration that children carry forward for a lifetime. I thank the men and women of NYSUT for the trust they have placed in me by providing their endorsement of my re-election. I’ll continue being a voice for putting all students first and ensuring that our teachers and schools receive the support, funding and recognition they need and deserve,” Senator Marchione said.
