Halfmoon, NY – New York State Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon) today proudly announced that she has been endorsed for re-election this fall by the 2.5 million member New York State AFL-CIO.
As noted on its website – nysaflcio.org – the New York State AFL-CIO is a federation of 3,000 affiliated public sector, private sector, and building trades unions throughout the state, representing 2.5 million members, retirees and their families. Its members live and work in every community in the state and reflect the diversity that makes New York great. The New York State AFL-CIO’s endorsements for State Legislature took place at the State Federation’s recent 33rd Constitutional Convention at the Sheraton NY Times Square Hotel in New York City. More than one thousand delegates, representing union members from the public sector, private sector and building trades, were in attendance.
“Receiving the New York State AFL-CIO’s endorsement for re-election this fall is incredibly important and affirms my efforts to serve as a strong voice for the hard working men and women in the 43rd Senate District and all across our state. I will continue advocating for more good-paying jobs, a stronger economy and more opportunities for all New Yorkers. Working together, we will help build stronger families, stronger communities and a better quality of life for everyone. I thank the men and women of the New York State AFL-CIO for their endorsement and their trust,” Senator Marchione said.
Senator Marchione has also been endorsed for re-election this fall by New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and is running for re-election on four ballot lines. Other endorsements for Senator Marchione’s re-election will be unveiled during the coming weeks.
