Kathy Marchione, Republican-Conservative candidate for New York State Senate, today announced that Joe Kakaty of Saratoga Springs will be serving as the campaign’s Finance Chairman.
“I found an authentic, pro-business candidate in Kathy Marchione. She truly understands the persistent fiscal problems our state faces and has the courage and determination to fix them. Refreshingly, Kathy has a remarkable record of running government efficiently and will continue to challenge the status quo as our State Senator. Most importantly, Kathy is committed to changing Albany–not letting Albany change her,” said Kakaty.
Kakaty has served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for College Loan Corporation (CLC) since 2000, the company’s first year in business. Over the past decade, Joe’s leadership helped CLC build an 800,000 customer base, 3,300 school-clients, and become the nation’s 7th largest student loan originator. Today the Company remains a top 10 holder of student loan assets. Kakaty currently serves on the boards of the Diocese of Albany Catholic Schools, St. Clements Regional Catholic School, Hannah’s Hope Fund and Stop Child Predators. He has raised campaign funds for Mitt Romney, Speaker John Boehner and Congressman Chris Gibson, among others. He resides in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Josey, and their three children.
